Africa Cup of Nations Finals : Story of the Underdogs..

When it comes to sports I just get too excited….like for instance…if there is an All-Star Basketball game that’s going to happen…you will find me sitting in my favorite place on the couch…which by the way on the right side :) ….before the game starts by 5 hours…if there is a Super Bowl game..same thing…except I take breaks during the game not during the commercials because they might be better than the game itself…and when it comes to soccer I just sit down the full 90 minutes screaming and shouting at the screen..I watch all the finals when it come to soccer like for instance the Africa Cup of Nations that’s going to happen tomorrow between Egypt and Cameroon…I’m just too excited because I’m loving Egypt’s soccer team…they are pretty much the most talented underrated players ever..like for example they have got “Amr Zaki”..goal keeper “Essam Al-Hadari”..who were the stars of the semi finals between Egypt and Ivory Coast..for those who are soccer fans..Didier Drogba who plays for Chelsea in the English League was bragging before the match of how awesome and amazing his team was..so everybody was excpecting that Egypt..or so called “The underdogs”…were going to be defeated…but they were just too good to lose…they won by 4-1…..I do believe that sports are not discriminating against any race..religion or color..and that’s why I love it..so let me just show you some clips of how talented the Egyptian and the Ivorian players are

P.S. : Egyptain players are the ones in white…Ivory Coast in Orange…!!

When Sports and Politics collide..

Football…or “Soccer”..as its said in the USA.. is one of the most popular sports in the world..and for those who don’t know soccer

football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players, and is the most popular sport in the world. It is a ball game played on a rectangular grass or artificial turf field, with a goal at each of the short ends. The object of the game is to score by maneuvering the ball into the opposing goal. In general play, the goalkeeper is the only player allowed to use their hands or arms to propel the ball; the rest of the team usually use their feet to kick the ball into position, occasionally using their torso or head to intercept a ball in midair. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the competition.

so now you understand what it is…that takes us to our discussion for today…in Africa…since the last few weeks and the upcoming week..”The Africa cup of nations”in soccer is being played by 16 teams all from Africa of course :) …and those teams are :

  • Flag of Ghana Ghana
  • Flag of Côte d'Ivoire Côte d’Ivoire
  • Flag of Egypt Egypt
  • Flag of Nigeria Nigeria
  • Flag of Sudan Sudan
  • Flag of Cameroon Cameroon
  • Flag of Angola Angola
  • Flag of Senegal Senegal
  • Flag of Guinea Guinea
  • Flag of Mali Mali
  • Flag of Namibia Namibia
  • Flag of Zambia Zambia
  • Flag of Morocco Morocco
  • Flag of Tunisia Tunisia
  • Flag of Benin Benin
  • Flag of South Africa South Africa

so..last Friday..Egypt and Sudan were playing against each other in the Kumasi Stadium in Ghana..after scoring the third goal for Egypt..”Abou Treika”..one of the most famous players in Egypt stripped to reveal a tee-shirt with the slogan ‘Sympathize with Gaza’ as he celebrated scoring in the 3-0 win over Sudan..

and some people said…”Okay…so what..the guy is just trying to make a point”…while others were like “AArrrghhh….”..and I do think that its alright to express your “right” political perspectives at anytime..anyplace..and by any means..when a player shows his sympathy to a current cause…that is not supposed to be faced by people throwing bad words and comments on him…it should be faced by respect for his opinion…still…when it comes to a cause you stand for….you will do exactly what he did…maybe more…share your comments…thanks :)

Sports : Best Clips Ever :)

I’m a big fan of sports even though I don’t show it that much, I just like to watch games that involves unexpected stuff, and some of the games that I do admire, are Football , Basketball, and Soccer, they are a body and mind game, and those clips were simply amazing, so I decided to share some of my Best clips ever!…check them out

[1] The play began with Millsaps leading 24-22 with 0:02 remaining in the game, Trinity players used a total of 15 laterals to take the ball 61 yards for the game-winning TD..P.S. : too much screaming at the end of the video, decrease the volume if you want to be able to hear :)

[2] This video is great!…that’s the product of combining wedding proposal and football :)

[3] One word to describe this….UNBELIEVABLE..better than most of the NBA players I watch!

[4] This video seriously combines my best goals in soccer :) …with some “good” taste of music

[5] My best NBA player Lebron James best Dunks ever!!!…simply amazing
